The Chamomile Tea Party has been producing posters about the rancor that is so prevalent in American politics for the past two years. I decided to up the ante by buying ad space on Washington, DC's subway. The first poster was up at the Gallery Place station for the month of September 2012. This ad will be at the Farragut West station on the Blue and Orange Lines during the month of October.

One of the first things lost in any political campaign is the truth. Politicians want to get elected and tell the electorate what they want to hear, rather than what they should hear. This is a disservice to everyone. And we deserve better. We deserve the truth before we vote for someone.

Ralph Samuelson of the Washington Post thought about what he'd like to hear from Bararck Obama and Mitt Romney in the debates if they told the truth.

What would you like to hear?

"Sometimes an institution becomes too sick to fix itself…Sometimes an institution, like an individual, needs an intervention, from people, from friends, from outside."

A version of this poster was done for the Coffee Party's Citizens Intervention Rally in October 2011.

The 2012 general election is over. The electorate has spoken. And yet, Congress seems to be acting pretty much the same as it did before the election. What will it take to get our elected representatives working together. Party politics still trumps governance. Sigh.

I was asked by The Coffee Party to create a poster for the Citizens Intervention, Enough is Enough! rally in Washington, DC on October 29th, 2011.

This poster has been produced in high resolution and is available here for free download. Print it out, bring it to the Citizens Intervention, and pass it around.
